Laser facial rejuvenation

What is facial rejuvenation?

Laser facial rejuvenation is a non-invasive treatment that is primarily recommended for people with  scar from acne  or similar injuries, as well as skin that has not been felt after lifting the face. This is a new, effective technique that can be applied to any part of the body, but it is most commonly applied to the face and neck. With the aid of laser, collagen production is stimulated, skin is stimulated and redness, enlarged pores and coarse skin are removed, leaving a fresh look on the face.

Patient preparation

Since it is a non-invasive procedure, laser rejuvenation does not require more extensive preparation. Two weeks before the treatment it is not recommended to use sunbeds, as well as prolonged exposure to sunlight or sunburn.

Immediately prior to treatment, the area that will be treated will be thoroughly cleansed from traces of cream, makeup and the like.

The procedure

At the Superiora Polyclinic before the procedure, the patient will thoroughly clean the facial skin and apply eye protection, and then apply a water-based gel. In the treatment area the laser will emit high intensity light that will work in deeper layers of the skin, simultaneously grinding the deeper area and chilling the surface layer and stimulating the creation of new collagen and elastin.

Recovery process and helpful tips

A few minutes after the treatment may appear mild redness and inflammation of the skin, but it is a phenomenon that should not last for more than an hour. By the next day, it is recommended to avoid creams, make-up and other cosmetics in the treated area, and for stronger skin reactions until the symptoms disappear completely. The skin should be washed only in water, without strong soap and coarse rubbing, and avoid sunbathing during the day.

If the discomfort during the first 24 hours of recovery is more pronounced, cold wraps can be freely used in the treated area.
