Preparing the patient
Before the surgery it is necessary to carry out a consultation in the Superiora Polyclinic, where the physician will determine which capillaries can be treated and how many treatments will be needed for the desired result, with the warning that skin treatment should not be stronger than sunburn. This is also an opportunity to remind the physician of possible chronic illnesses, allergies and medicines used in continuity.
Before the treatment, remove all traces of cosmetic products and, depending on the area, carefully shave.
Procedure
For laser removal of some larger capillaries, the skin must be cooled, followed by laser treatment. Due to the action of the laser beam, coagulation or destruction of the capillary wall occurs. The procedure is not painful, but it may be uncomfortable, with a feeling like a scuffle. It is possible to use a local anesthetic in more sensitive patients. Discomfort or possible pain disappears immediately after treatment, which usually lasts for a few minutes.
The first results are visible immediately, and at least about one month after the treatment.
Recovery process and helpful tips
Immediately after the treatment may occur transient, more pronounced redness or swelling, and in rare cases hyperpigmentation that disappears after a few weeks.
The patient can immediately return to his daily activities, avoiding more demanding exercise and heavier physical activity within the next hour. It is also recommended to avoid sunbathing for the next week and use sunscreen cosmetics with the highest factor.
